Call your Senators.

Roy Blunt, blockheaded Republican Senator from Missouri, has attached an amendment to the Transportation Bill which would permit any employer to refuse to provide healthcare to their employees based on religious beliefs or moral objection. The endgame is the overturning of Griswold.

The DailyKos Jeffs have dubbed the Blunt Stunt: Where The Rubbers Meet The Road.

Healthcare for women must not be attached to Transportation or Farm Animal Bills.

Call your Senators. Any Senator who votes Aye for Blunt must consider that the taxpayers will decide to revoke their entire health care plan. On Moral Grounds, of course. Neanderthals had their day. No need for taxpayers to extend life support to extinct bigoted Congresscritters.

Stop the Blunt Amendment. Call your Senators. Tell them that, as their Employers, you Morally Object to providing healthcare to your Employees (Senators) who support the Blunt bill.

Thanks.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

Why should we pay for health care for Senators who would write bills denying our right to healthcare?

This IS where the rubbers meet the road. H/t to the Jeffs! Call your Senators!

Site may be under construction. There have been numerous blips tonight. It took an hour for this to post. Keep trying.

Call your Senators to vote NO on the Blunt Amendment.

      Peace and Justice.

  •  The best advice I have to offer is: add tags. (0+ / 0-)

Go to edit diary. Scroll down. Don't click on the suggested tags, but instead, physically type your specific tags into the blank box. It was a bit frustrating to figure it out, but it can be done.

The tags was the holdup for me in posting; hopefully more wise words of wisdom will now be heard in the recent diaries.

    Peace, Justice, Patience, and Love.

year full of non-coverage for a whole lot of Americans (mostly women, though, if the Employers who would act on this Legislation are Republican, at any rate).

    But come November?

    LANDSLIDE.

    Democratic President, House and Senate.

    Why?

All any candidate needs is 50 plus a little bit, most of the women and a few of the men will do it.

These asshats keep trying to legislate women back to the 1840s and they'll find out just how far they've gone wrong this fall.

It might be the very best thing to happen to the Democratic Party since Barack Obama gave the Keynote Speech at the 2004 Democratic Convention.

The Republican GOP - the gift that keeps giving itself a black eye.
