Take the gold hawkers off of the table -- if Lear Capital didn't have paranoid and ignorant conservatives to sell its gold to, it wouldn't make enough to buy a cup of coffee. (also, see complaints of deceptive practices, etc.)
However, Lifelock is sort of a different case. They offer something that is sort of worthwhile, identity protection. On the other hand....Marvin Davis, chief marketing officer just said the following:
"We do not agree with Rush Limbaugh's recent comments but we acknowledge his apology. At this time, we are not making any changes to our advertising program.”
Wow.
Boycott 'em and let the world know what they are...and it ain't good.
Let's start with the comment -- they don't AGREE with what Rush said. Not that there was a problem with it, they just don't agree. I guess they're saying they don't think Sandra Fluke is a slut with boyfriends lined up around the block, just like they might not think the world is flat. No condemnation, nothing. These people are scum.
Secondly, they allow Rush off the hook because of his nopology, even though he came back on the air today and essentially repudiated his apology.
What pigs these people are.
So, anyone doing business with them, stop. Bombard them with complaints; here is their contact info:

Lifelock also has affiliates, but I can't find them. Feel free to look, then boycott them too.
As for getting out their reputation:
1. Lifelock lies about their guarantees. See New York City department of consumer affairs "deceptive claims" lawsuit.
2. It's founder is a shady guy.
3. It lied about its ability to protect its customers and had to pay a $12 million fine to the FTC.
Let's see -- lied in its sales, founded by a sleaze, failed to do what it is paid to do.
There is more stuff about them out there, but I think this will do it. If they don't back down on Rush, make sure that their business practices get known far and wide.
No wonder they stick with Rush -- they are two of a kind.
