Yesterday, on "Super Tuesday," Barack Obama won the Democratic primary in the State of Oklahoma, as he did in every other state. Unfortunately, there were some challenges, including a former Republican and terroristic-founder of "Operation Rescue," which apparently supported bombing women's health organizations.
Mr. Terry won 18% of the Democratic vote in yesterday's primary in Oklahoma, including the outright winning of 12 counties in the state. Additionally, another candidate in the Democratic primaries won 3 counties.
Out of Oklahoma's 77 counties, this means that President Barack Obama won 62 counties. While it's a little shameful that we have more than our share of racists and uninformed voters, there is a kook in every election cycle, as our state's Democratic Party executive director communicated today.
As the president of the veterans committee, I am a member of the Oklahoma Democratic Party's central committee. And I apologize for those "kooks." I would like to let my fellow Democrats and veterans across the U.S. know that Oklahoma's Democrats are strongly in favor of President Barack Obama. However, our state bylaws, and Oklahoma election laws, prevent us from intervening in primary races. But now that the primary has been decisively won by President Obama, we will stand strongly in our support for the reelection Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

The following is a message that was sent out late today by Trav Robertson, the Executive Director of the Oklahoma Democratic Party. (There is an area of emphasis and one personal note that I've added.)
My Fellow Democrats,
My hope is that you are doing well and enjoying the beautiful weather. Last evening many Democrats gathered in homes, offices, and local Party Headquarters to witness President Obama win Oklahoma's Democratic Primary. Additionally, an interesting fact to note is that every Republican Presidential Candidate traveled to Oklahoma; each candidate's respective super PAC spent money on television in Oklahoma and yet, the Republican turnout was almost 50,000 fewer voters than 2008.
We learned that there is some work to be done, but most important, we now know where our Party needs to work.
In every primary there is a fringe candidate that appears on the ballot and attempts to capture delegates from a sitting president. The same thing happened in 1996’s Democratic primary when Lyndon LaRouche challenged President Clinton and got enough votes in Louisiana to win a delegate and in 1992, three fringe Republican candidates – Pat Buchannan, Howard Phillips, and Alan Keyes – won a total of 21 delegates.
The party is reviewing the election results and will abide by previously established rules regarding the allotment of delegates [My note: as opposed to the Republican parties in states like Michigan and Maine.] No matter what, we know President Obama will win the majority of delegates at this year’s convention. The Party is not going to speculate on the process until the election results have been certified.
We look forward to seeing each of you on April 13th at our Carl Albert Dinner and on April 14th at our State Convention.
As always, if we can ever be of any service, please do not hesitate to call on us.
