Oh yes Fellow Kossacks.. I am going public.

Hal Donahue

AF Lt Col Ret

I have never thrown an idle bluff in my life and don't intend to start now.   Please tune in Monday at the links provided Monday at 3:00 PM EDT    To bring you up to date.  My husband was shifted from here to there and for those who followed the ridiculous and outrageous treatment at the Gainesville VA in Florida. You may find the diaries here but I do have an update.  As I write this, after begging for medical treatment investigating the pain and black and blue feet and shifted from a VA to a private facility that does not handle medical care my husband is in a cardiac unit in town after having a stint inserted and cardiac procedure for a 90 percent blockage after chest pains.  He was admitted when oxygen was deprived from his brain as well.  To say I am furious is putting it mildy.   Jump below the fold please

This interview was already
scheduled before the emergency this past Thursday.  In fact Hal and I had been on the phone talking and arranging for this interview on lack of care in the State of Florida.   I had put up a diary called I am going public and I won't back down.Fellow Kossacks know that I am scheduled for a Live interview with Hal Donahue Monday at 3PM EDT.  Hal Donahue is located in Scranton, Pa.  The show will also include Geoff Smeltzer, the cohost, who is also a veteran.  Our thanks for his service and this interview as well.
.  Mr. Donahue and I have been in touch regarding the VA facilities and healthcare problems in general. I am going publicdiary on VA Issues

I still am going public and starting Monday.  Please tune in ....The engineer will be calling for sound checks and if all goes well we will be on the air Monday at 3PM EDT.

The VA already started up with me regarding their lack of knowledge on a claim but I won't back down.  Not for my vet or any veteran.  I said last month and I am saying it now.. This is not over.  We will get better healthcare for people.  We called inspector generals and VISN (Veterans Integrated Service Network) and now I am going public with the whole debacle of the Gainesville VA Facility and any others I find out about.

My personal thanks to llbear, anglejean and others who have been most helpful in standing with me and reaching out on not only on my behalf but all veterans and active military.   Spotlight on a problem is a great antiseptic.   My husband is still in the cardiac unit at this time.   Prayers and good thoughts are welcome.

Unrelated (in a way)   ...Please visit Nurse Kelley's diary going up regarding jimreyn
as we were working with the widow of Jim when all of these heart problems started happening with my husband and to say it was a tense time Thursday night is putting it so mildly.  Nurse Kelley's diary will be posting this afternoon.  Please ..for me, go there and help.

Tagging tips - Search For Tags - Browse For Tags

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
