I don't think anybody expected Mitt to win Alabama or Mississippi. As Mitt said, this was an away game for him, and I think that's absolutely true.
True enough, Mitt Romney did say
exactly that. But then again, Mitt Romney
also said he would win.
Maybe Fehrnstrom meant nobody expected Mitt Romney to win Alabama or Mississippi except for Mitt Romney. But then again, Mitt Romney didn't expect to win Alabama or Mississippi. But yet then again, Mitt Romney did expect to win.
You can see where this is going, right?
I guess the real lesson here is that no matter what the issue, no matter how big or how small, no matter how important or how trivial, Mitt Romney has the right answer. The only problem is that he also has the wrong answer. And nobody knows which one he really believes.
