I don't mind people with differing political views and I love to discuss/argue them. It's no secret that I'm a Democrat, but I have many Republican and independent friends, family, coworkers and acquaintances. Those on the other side that I call friends or enjoy conversing with are able to rationally discuss why they don't like Obama. I may not (and usually don't) agree with them, but there are different economic approaches that can be valid, and varying philosophies of government that do deserve legitimate consideration.
But when people start ranting totally incorrect things, I try to inform them. Yes, Obama's administration has delayed construction of the Keystone XL pipeline until the potential risks of leaks and fracking and other issues are better known. But the pipeline from Cushing, Oklahoma to Galveston IS being built- bringing thousands of construction jobs to the state in the near future. They won't last forever, but saying that he's blocking those jobs from OK by delaying Keystone is just wrong.
And I pity people who say they "hate" him. I'm not above saying those words, but I reserve them for truly evil people. I don't hate Rush, or Romney, or Santorum, or Gingrich, or Ron Paul ... I disagree with them. I think they are wrong.
For those people who they say they hope Obama's plane runs out of fuel, even as just a stupid quip, that just underlines their stupidity. And those who read "news" reports that say Obama will be setting up FEMA camps for all dissenters- or that there will be 30,000 drones snuffing out Americans who disagree with him- jeez- I just gotta say, "Get your tinfoil hat ready, it will protect you."
Even as a Democrat, I don't agree with every single thing this administration has done, but for those people who think he's a raving madman hell bent on silencing them, guess what... your voice is still out there, annoying as it is. And even after three whole years of Obama, the government hasn't taken away your guns (I still have mine). And where are those FEMA camps Glenn Beck and others promised three years ago? And yes, the stock market did just hit its highest point since 2001- so it sounds like capitalism is doing quite well.
Like him or don't like him- vote for him or vote for somebody else. But whichever side you're on, don't fall for stupid conspiracies, half truths or total lies.
P.s. My drone bunker is only open to registered Democrats and, um... "the rooster flies at midnight."

Apologies for the long read... but immediately before this I told somebody to "put on their tinfoil hat" - ignorance may be bliss for the ignorant, but for everyone they interact with, it's excruciatingly painful.
