Have any of you read the Washington Post’s story the other day, revealing how President Obama offered to accept the Republican grand deal last July of lowering taxes on the wealthy, corporations, and investors while cutting social security, medicare, Medicaid, healthcare, etc.? The $800 billion in projected governmental revenues was predicated on the Republican myth of supply side economics’ dynamic scoring.
Where was the deal for the 99%? The 1% get the tax breaks; the 99% suffer all of the cuts to benefits. And the Republicans walked away from the deal, presumably because they also desired a total exemption on all corporate taxes from profits overseas.
Does President Obama know what political party he belongs to? What makes me really sick is all of these working and middle class people espousing adulation for President Obama, as if he is an FDR or a JFK.
Do you know this week that the White House administration said that that very same deal is still on the table for the Republicans to accept?
