Sure you do! I'm taking a Research Methods class this semester, and one of our big assignments is to create a public opinion survey and run descriptive statistics on it. We're allowed to do the survey on anything we want, and I chose tornadoes (naturally).
I created a survey with 24 simple questions that I would like to ask you to answer. The questions range from your opinions about tornadoes, knowledge of tornado forecasts, and some general questions. Not only will your completion of this survey help me with a project in one of my courses, but the questions in the survey will help me better understand how different people think about tornadoes.
Please answer the questions as truthfully as possible. There are no "right" or "wrong" answers, I just want to gauge what you think and know. Keep in mind that this survey is anonymous -- I cannot trace your responses back to you.
Anyone can complete this survey, regardless of profession, location, or demographics...but I do ask that you only complete the survey once. I'd like to get as many responses as possible from as many different people as possible. I can't compensate you for completing the survey, but I will give you a big "THANK YOU!" if you do.
I appreciate your participation. If you have any comments, questions, or criticisms about the questions, formatting, or anything like that, please let me know in the comments. I tried my best to write the questions in an unbiased manner and so they could be clearly and easily understood.
Survey closed. Thank you for your participation.
