There are many sports fans here on dKos; so I'd thought I'd offer a new spot for posting thoughts after the usual busy sports weekends.
Every weekend has it's big events ---key games in NBA; the NCAA's are running; golf is hitting it's season; NASCAR is back in business; Baseball is on the horizon.
AND, after this past week----NFL football is front and center!!
Let's see if we can conjure up some commentary on this past weekends events---if it works; we'll make it a regular Monday morning feature...
Follow me below the fold for some stories....
NCAA
The Final Four is set...(none of mine are in it)
Syracuse couldn't hold off a fine OSU team; who won a trip with great foul shooting at the end; and Louisville made a great 23-8 run in 2nd half to beat Fla.
On Sunday, the big favorite Kentucky really blew away Baylor, who were never really in the game. And, late Sunday Kansas handles NC in a surprise to me...
The Final Four match-ups...Kentucky vs Louisville; and Ohio State vs Kansas....only one #1 seed.

TIM(Excuse me, the NFL)
Of course, "Timsanity" has hit NY----please tell me what the Jets are thinking????
Crazy move!!
And, today the Jets give one of the biggest press conferences for a back-up QB----ever!!

And down in New Orleans, Shawn Peyton loses $5.8Mil for allowing "bounties":
New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton will lose more than $5.8 million as a result of his suspension by the NFL, sources said Friday.
NBA
The Knicks seem to have found something with new coach Woodson---but way too late. Can anyone beat the Bulls? (or more correctly--will anyone beat them?)
Current projected match-ups
NASCAR
Fontana CA is where this weeks event was held; the Auto Cub 400....
Joey Lagano wins the Nationwide event Saturday for the Gibbs team.
On Sunday, Tony Stewart continued his run..
FONTANA, Calif. -- Tony Stewart got his second NASCAR victory of the season Sunday when rain shortened the race at Auto Club Speedway to 129 laps.
The defending Sprint Cup champion has won seven of the last 15 races in a remarkable stretch of dominance, including Las Vegas last month.

BASEBALL
Joba Chamberlain
This guy can't get a decent break (pun intended)....
Joba Chamberlain hospitalized
TAMPA, Fla. -- New York Yankees relief pitcher Joba Chamberlain suffered an open dislocation of his right ankle while playing with his son on Thursday.
Chamberlain had surgery on Thursday night at St. Joseph's Hospital, and is expected to remain in the hospital for several days for the injury, which resulted in an open flesh wound around the ankle. Manager Joe Girardi was at the hospital early Friday morning.

GOLF
Tiger is back!! Clearly his game has come around; just in time for the Masters in 2 weeks. And the networks couldn't be happier---he clearly is still the big draw for golf TV ratings.
Making It Official
Tiger Woods won't have to answer the question about when he'll win again. With an impressive final round at Bay Hill, Woods picked up his first official victory in over two years

Not a big hockey fan, so if you feel neglected---offer some commentary on your team.
These are some of the headlines----offer up your thoughts, or perhaps tears of sorrow on any of these; or any other sports you enjoy.
Have a great week, everyone---may your team have the winning score.
