Rush Limbaugh Sponsor: Pressuring Advertisers Is 'Internal American Terrorism'
Mark Stevens, founder of marketing firm MSCO, told FOX News' Megyn Kelly that he would stick with Limbaugh no matter what in the face of such pressure.
Stevens, for his part, firmly intends to “double down” against what he describes as an act of “internal American terrorism.”
Limbaugh is facing the biggest crisis of his career this month as sponsors flee his show in droves in response to the radio host's three-day rant against law student Sandra Fluke, who he labeled a "slut" and suggested record a sex tape for him.

Limbaugh Advertiser To Megyn Kelly: Coordinated Effort To Ruin My Company Is ‘Internal American Terrorism’
by Alex Alvarez | 3:39 pm, March 26th, 2012
“You don’t have to strap on a suicide bomber’s belt to engage in terrorism,” he told Kelly, “Terrorism derives from the term ‘to invoke fear in people.’ They’ve called my people and my company, they’ve called the women at my company, and told them they’re women haters, the most horrible terms. They’ve told me — these are tens of thousands of emails, by the way, most of them are positive but the small group — they’ve told us that we’re under surveillance. The email subject line says ‘citizen of the internet,’ ‘police of the Internet,’ ‘Mark, you’re in danger,’ ‘your house is going to be surrounded by buses,’ ‘your business is going to be destroyed,’ ‘your people are in trouble.’ This is terrorism. Why don’t we start calling it what it is?”
Stevens noted that he might not always agree with Limbaugh and that he certainly didn’t agree with the radio host’s handling of the Sandra Fluke story, but that this goes beyond agreeing or disagreeing. “If I can’t advertise where I want to advertise,” he says, because of some “hissyfitters” using form emails, then something is very wrong.
So what is Stevens’ plan moving forward? “Advertise more heavily.”
To say that he doesn't ALWAYS agree with Limbaugh don't mean Mark Stevens doesn't agree with most of Limbaugh's nonsense. This comes from Mark Stevens'
Unconventional Thinking Blog where he pontificates on issues of the day:
The President Who Would Be A Pope
February 15th, 2012
Everyday since Barack Obama took office, I have been tortured by his presence in the White House. Not because of his role as President but instead for his ascension to King. Last week he added a new title to his imprimatur: Pope Obama.
During his three-plus years on the throne, we have become a nation of sheep. As he strips away the Constitution, appoints Czars in what had been a nation of laws, invades every aspect of our personal lives, reverses our founding aspiration for success with support of the Occupy Failure whiners, we stand by and watch America slip away.
Well that should give you a good introduction to Mark Stevens world view. To Stevens consumers using their market power to make a statement that some retoric goes are beyond the bounds of civil discourse is illegitimate. To Mark Stevens aware consumers posing a threat to his bottom line is terrorism not free speech.
To Mark Stevens, this is what “internal American terrorism” looks like you condescending rich hypocrite:
And this:
I suspect some of Rush Limbaugh's diehard sponsors hold world views similar to those of Mark Stevens and may not be moved by some loss of their customers. Others may be more sensitive to market pressures.
Today marks the end of Clear Channel's two week suspension of their barter ads on Rush's show.
We've got to keep the pressure up on Limbaugh's sponsors!
