State Rep. Babette Joesephs (D-Philadelphia) attending a rally in Harrisburg on Monday opposing the ultrasound bill said so:

GOP Women 'Men With Breasts'
"I don't believe they're really women," she repeated. "I believe they're men with breasts," PennLive reports.

The Pennsylvania bill would require any woman seeking an abortion to undergo an ultrasound prior to receiving the procedure, with the screen pointed to the women. Gov. Tom Corbett (R) has said that women have the option of closing their eyes.

In response to the ultrasound bill, state Sen. Larry Farnese (D-Philadelphia) has proposed a bill requiring men to have prostate exams, stress tests and sex therapy before receiving erectile dysfunction drugs.

Well, most republican women are good submissive christians, They tell us or remind us all the time, especially those who FOLLOW lock-step all the Republican christian men in congress.

I always wonder why ANY woman would subject herself to the mostly male religious and political hierarchies who attack, suppress, use and abuse women on a daily basis.

But if they are 'men with breasts' it sure makes understanding their anti-women stances a lot easier.

I personally can't imagine all these 'guys' getting breast implants (although after all is said and done, playing with themselves may be all they'll have left in the sexual realm) since they are attacking most sexual behavior of anyone who isn't white, heterosexual and male.

One must wonder what other EXPOSURES the GOP Corporate Christian/Taliban people can show us? Their hateful under-bellies are worse than most decent human beings could ever even imagine.

Can you imagine what the catholic Pope and his ilk would say about GOP women are 'Men with Breasts'?...OY!

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

It's bad enough that dealing with all our human foibles is a rough enough road without GOP WHITE xtian men hating on everyone not like them and then because those of us, especially women, gays and minorities begin to fight each other because it feels like we can't fight those in power or we want our issue to be solved first, please don't play that game.

All I know is that I have not, in 54 solar revolutions, experienced such utter contempt by so few, against so many, and yet, they garner all of the attention because of the billionaires supporting them.

I may be overgeneralizing, but, I see it like this. GOP women have been told they have a restricted sphere of influence, namely, the home and domesticity. They may work outside the house at several points (or for the majority of) their adult lives. But, they've been indoctrinated: the home is their domain. Now, some GOP women just meekly go along, find men who are supportive (as long as they don't step out of line) and live out their lives without coming to anyone's attention. For others (like myself) all those fancy promises about "be a good girl and we'll take care of you" are simply a lie, we learn this early in life, and we walk away. We're still well-behaved (in our own way), but we've seen the canard for what it is, and we go over to the Dark Side (become liberals). There's a third group, however, who continue to believe they control their limited sphere, and push what little power they can acquire from there to manipulate those around them. It's those GOP women whom I consider "men with breasts."

Fundies think God butters their bread, so whatever God says goes - even if it sucks - because the alternative is literally Hell.

Most Republican women, like most people in general, have a vested interest in staying on the good side of the people they know and depend on.  If those people are all redneck fundie knuckledraggers, then life is going to suck.  This is especially true if your options for escape are limited: no education, little or no work experience, no connections outside the very circle you're trying to get out of, being outside the mainstream (fundie, redneck, etc.), and so on.

Other Republican women are married to rich Republican men, and so are going to toe the line (at least on the surface) in order to keep the money flowing.  Some Republican women enjoy lucrative careers as pundits, and aren't going to alienate either their audiences by turning left or their advertisers by being controversial; to a lesser extent, some Republican women are "queen bees" in their own social circles, and they're not going to voluntarily relinquish that status by preaching independence and free-spiritedness.  There's nothing that says these groups aren't also true believers in their own "model woman" -hood; that they're special and can break the mold in order to more effectively make other women fit into it.

Never attribute to stupidity what can be adequately explained by malice; stupid people couldn't hurt us so effectively.
