If you've not had a chance to hear Rachel Maddow's Fresh Air interview, you really really must; it is absolutely something special.
Let's look back on past March 28ths. On March 28, 1979, America's worst commercial nuclear accident occurred inside the Unit Two reactor at the Three Mile Island plant near Middletown, PA.
On this date in 1939, the Spanish Civil War ended as Madrid fell to the forces of Francisco Franco. And, he's still dead. ;D
It's time for SPARK! :D Good golly, when you gotta go, YOU GOTTA GO! If you live in the St. Louis area, and your son wants to wear a kilt to the prom, ya' better read this story first. However, if you're pi$$ed off by the aforementioned story, stay right there in town to feel better with an "AAAaaaaaaWWWWWWwwwww!!!" moment on steroids at the zoo! :D
Let's spend some time with Keith & Rachel...
#5 "Delayed Justice" - I'll be shnockered; there's George Zimmerman not looking roughed up at all in a police video from that horrible night. I thought he had a busted nose & stuff. He's supposed to have a wound on the back of his head, too? Huh...ain't seein' that, either. Rep. Bobby Rush was "escorted" from the floor of the House today for donning a hoodie. Sanford PD wanted charges filed, but a state attorney said no or said nothing. Wow, Joe Oliver's really turned a corner; he said last night that Trayvon Martin would've shot George Zimmerman if George Zimmerman hadn't shot Trayvon Martin. OK, there's a special place in Hell for THAT guy. *&^%$#@! I guess there are no "casual" days in the House. Students at Howard University made a hell of a video! Lou Dobbs & a "doctor" questioned the timing of the decision to sell hoodies - even though the campaign sold them in 2008, too. Yea, there's a reason those fellers work for FAUX. Corey Dade's reporting about the day's events in this case. This tape will probably be admitted into evidence because there was little physical evidence at the crime scene. Trayvon's parents can't even get anyone to tell them IF George Zimmerman was hospitalized. Joe Oliver used to be a newscaster?! Oh good sparkin' grief... Marc Morial commented on the newly - released video & the activities in the House. I just thought of another question, and it brings up a rather distressing image, so I'll apologize in advance. If Trayvon Martin had beaten up George Zimmerman, wouldn't there be physical evidence of that beating on his hands? Wouldn't that information be recorded on an autopsy if it was performed?? Mr. Morial also wondered why the Sanford PD conferred with a prosecutor prior to making an arrest even though they WANTED to make an arrest. George Zimmerman has a history of 911 calls because of "suspicious" African - American young men.
#4 "Dog Days of Spring" AKA "Endorsemitt" - GWB's Daddy is going to officially endorse Mittens as a POTUS candidate but hopefully NOT as a dog owner! Half of America thinks unfavorably of Mittens; he tried to "redeem" himself with Jay Leno. Uh, if you want redemption, go see David Letterman! :D Most MENSA registered voters want this primary done yesterday. Newtie's cutting down on events & staff. David Catanese gets MENSA duty. Newt's pimp might be breaking out the checkbook for Mittens now. Well hell! THAT'S why Newt's cutting back - and charging $50 for the "pleasure" of getting a photo taken with him. I'm willing to bet a shiny new dime that Mittens has BEGGED GWB to NOT endorse him. Mittens joked about Daddy moving jobs out of MI during a conference call in WI. BRILLIANT! What a tone deaf a$$ hat!
"Time Marches On!" - A kitty got onto a basketball court in Israel - AAaaaaWWWww! :) Little skier was just too pooped to hop. There's a sports stacking competition? O...K...
#3 "Severability" AKA "'Heart'Less Healthcare" - I didn't get to listen to today's SCOTUS arguments as carefully as I would've liked. I did hear lots of laughter from the crowd, so someone's funny bone got tweaked. "Justice" Clarence Thomas offered his usual stimulating questions in a case in which he should've recused himself. ;D The subject matter today concerned if the individual mandate's declared unconstitutional, does the rest of HCR have to be scrapped. The rest of HCR includes coverage for people with pre - existing conditions, children being able to stay on their parents' health insurance until they're 26, etc. Jonathan Turley's back again. :) SCOTUS might be over - stretching past decisions? Gee, that never happens. {cough} Citizens United {cough} Justice Kennedy might still be in play regarding severability; just because the mandate might be gone might not mean the whole bill's gone. If the individual mandate's gone, a whole lot of the financial viability of HCR could be in danger.
#2 "In - Flight Detainment" - A JetBlue pilot went a little funny in the head the other day. Can y'all just imagine being a passenger on THAT plane?! Federal prosecutors filed charges today against the 12 - year veteran pilot. The co - pilot was the one who convinced him to leave the cockpit then changed the code to allow him back in. A slew of passengers were security folk who were able to restrain him; Tony Antolino was one of those passengers. The pilot was a big guy, too. There may or may not have been talk of a bomb.
#1 Jonathan Turley's back to comment on that extraordinary video; he thinks the tape could be admissible as evidence. He actually brought up a question I had, so I now don't feel so dumb in asking. Why put the guy in handcuffs if he's not going to be arrested? That image could be troubling to a potential jury. This tape could increase anger over the fact that Mr. Zimmerman wasn't arrested.
