As we all know, Geraldo Rivera works for a Cable Media outlet, Fox, that poses as a news organization but in reality puts out dangerous misinformation and pays their hosts to spew hate and fear ...

Last week, Geraldo Rivera let it be known that Fox hosts fear people who wear hoodies.  In fact, according to Rivera, people who wear hoodies are sooooo scary that if you see a person wearing a hoodie, that alone is reason enough to kill them in self-defense.

GERALDO: "I think the hoodie is as much responsible for Trayvon Martin's death as George Zimmerman."
Geraldo Rivera, March 23, 2012 on Fox
ooooooohhhhooo be veeeery affffraid ..... hoodies are scaaary!

Fast forward to last night when Geraldo decided to lie to his viewers with the false claim that "many many white people" do not want Justice for the cold-blooded murder of a 17 year old boy.

GERALDO: "Do you worry at all, Tracy, that this case has divided the nation with black people overwhelmingly on one side and many, many white people on the other side."
What data did Geraldo look at that made him spew such a ridiculous notion?  Seriously where is his data?

FACT: Real polling data proves Geraldo is a GD liar.

March 26, 2012 - CNN Poll :
Question 27: Based on what you have read or heard about this incident, do you think the police should or should not arrest George Zimmerman for shooting Trayvon Martin?

Total Support Arrest:.... 73%
White Support Arrest:... 67%

Total NOT Support Arrest: .... 11%
White NOT Support Arrest:.... 14%

So, polling data one month after Trayvon Martin was gunned down, of whites: only 14% of 11% do not support Zimmerman being arrested.

14% of 11% ... Gee Geraldo, sounds like YOU are a "Race Hustler" as mathematically, 14% of 11% is a very, very SMALL group.

Not only was Geraldo's false comment designed to hurt Trayvon's parents it was also designed to "Race Hustle" and con his viewers with the subliminal message:
...  'if you're white, it's ok to not support the arrest of an armed man who killed an unarmed "black" teenager because only the 'blacks' want an arrest.'

Geraldo's lack of preparation and refusal to present facts gave rise to him spewing lies and hysteria which was geared to sensationalize Racism and Division. Either Geraldo is a "Race Hustler" or he's just a GD moron ... an ignorant, uninformed and unprepared moron.

Geraldo is one of the Frightwingers who lives in the impermeable bubble Bill Mahar talks about.  See, to Geraldo, because hate-radio and Fox hate-anchors do not want the murderer of an unarmed teen to be arrested, Geraldo ignores factual data and spews his own lies when he says, "many, many white people are on the other side."

To be more factual, perhaps Geraldo should have said, "many, many hate-radio personalities and Fox hate-anchors are on the other side ... but normal humans do want an armed man who murdered an unarmed teen arrested and charged with murder and then have his day in Court."

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
