Presently (2:40 pm CDT) the Dallas/Ft. Worth area is experiencing "unprecedented and historic" severe weather "in terms of numbers and intensity" according to the WBAP radio weather reports. No fewer than five damage-producing storms with tornadoes on the ground have been reported in the past hour in the immediate area.
Having lived in the area for nearly 60 years, I can say that while we usually have spring tornadoes here in "tornado alley," I can't recall this many, this severe, and this soon in the spring.
After what will probably be an historically warm winter, the global warming denialists will be working overtime to spin away reality, per their usual assertions.
12:58 PM PT: I hastily posted without seeing the other diary. Unless I have an update soon, i will take this one down.
