I rarely post here but since I have been twiddling my thumbs lately waiting for potential clients to commit, I have has lots of time to let my mind wander. In doing so, many questions have arisen regarding what's going on in America today to which I would love some clarity. Follow me after the fancy Ps and let me know if you have the answers.
Why does outspending an opponent usually result in an electoral win? Is the American electorate so maleable that 30-second, one-sided commercials can sway their opinion?
Why is it that only the GOP has so many non-elected figures that influence the legislative and electoral process? Grover Norquist, the Koch brothers, Tony Perkins, ALEC, to name a few.
Why is it legal for outside groups to spend money to influence local agenda in states in which they are not located?
What exactly is the end-game for the GOP? With the goal of gaining majorities at both the state and federal levels, what is their mission statement?
What is the "mainstream" media and why does Fox not consider itself to be a part of it?
What is the point of denying climate change?
Why does the media insist that there are always two, equally valid sides to an issue?
Why don't Truth in Advertising laws apply to political ads?
Who are "some" as in "some might say..."?
If the GOP's agenda is "what the American people want," why is every talking point carefully phrased and poll-tested by Frank Luntz?
If the Republicans hate government so much, why do they become part of it?
