I've been trying to find better housing. I can't sleep in the city there is just too much noise for me to stay or get asleep. I thought I had found the place. I can afford it. It is rural. And most importantly it is quiet.
So I fill out the application and fork over money for the credit extortion check. I call them back after the designated time period since they did not call me. I knew my credit issues were fine as I worked with an agency and not only got an apartment not used to dealing with the chronically homeless but also completed all the HUD hoops which are much more stringent. So why did I get refused?
According to the leasing company I did not live in my state in 2011, this was news to me.
Now I have three numbers to call. The leasing agency, the credit agency and the company the leasing agency contracted with to get the credit report.
So who do I call and what do I show them?
