Rick Santorum's decision to drop out of the presidential race this week and hand the reins to Mitt Romney ended one front in the so-called "War on Women." (Or did it?)
Looking to erase the enormous gender gap he now faces, Romney named his wife, Ann, as his chief adviser on lady issues.
In response to the appointment, lesbian adoptive mom Hilary Rosen asserted that Ann has never worked a day in her life, and is therefore unfit to serve in such a capacity.
And that's when the Twit hit the fan.
Though Rosen's claim was technically correct, it was equally politically incorrect; and it quickly drew rebukes from the Obama campaign, as well as the President and First Lady.
Also, too, it failed to account for one important fact—the Romneys' horses don't dress themselves.

Tennessee State Senators passed an update to the state's sex education law that labels hand-holding a gateway to finger-banging.
In a new family life instructions bill, holding hands and kissing could be considered gateways to sex. Planned Parenthood said that allowing state government to define local sex education curriculum could backfire. [...]
In the bill, a uniformed policy on sex education is defined with terms like "gateway sexual activity." Also listed are statewide instructions on how to teach family life curriculum. [...]
If an instructor goes beyond the curriculum, the bill gives parents more legal rights, stating, "The parent or legal guardian shall have a cause of action against the instructor or organization for actual damages."
Meanwhile, in the great state of Missouri...
Rep. Todd Akin, who is seeking the Republican nomination for Senate, lamented the fact that the GOP doesn't currently have the votes to impeach President Obama for no good reason.
Why hasn’t Congress impeached President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder? Rep. Todd Akin says it's simply a lack of votes. But he says that may change eventually.
"That's a good question," Akin told a constituent on Tuesday who asked just that. "I can't speak for the other 400 and some congressmen, but I believe when they take a look at impeachment the question is do you have the votes to do it and, if you do it, it goes to the Senate, what's going to happen with Harry Reid?" [...]
"I think some of the thought was, he's coming up at this point for election and the best way to impeach him is the ballot box," Akin said. "So I think that's the thought, because you’re never going to get something through the Senate. That doesn't mean that at a certain point you just say enough, I don't care enough about the Senate, duty calls us to just get up and just impeach this guy. And maybe he's not quite gotten to the point where you've got the Republicans — basically all the Republican bloc is not quite mad enough for that."
And, finally...
Newt Gingrich bit the hand that used to feed him.
"I think FOX has been for Romney all the way through. In our experience, Callista and I both believe CNN is less biased than FOX this year. We are more likely to get neutral coverage out of CNN than we are of FOX, and we're more likely to get distortion out of FOX. That's just a fact."
I report. You decide.
