In addition to the recall election against Gov. Scott Walker, there will be four state Senate elections in Wisconsin on June 5. Democrats only need to win one or those four elections to take control of the chamber outright.
In one of those four elections, Democratic state Rep. Donna Seidel has started running a powerful new ad against her opponent, Republican state Rep. Jerry Petrowski, about his participation in the Republican war on women. Check it out:
Here's a transcript, spoken by a rotating group of women looking directly into the camera:
I have something to say to Jerry Petrowski.
I work hard every day. And you think women shouldn't get paid the same as men for doing the same work?
And when it comes to my health Jerry, and the lives of my family and friends, you slashed funding for breast and cervical cancer screenings and voted against emergency contraception for victims of rape and incest.
I have something to say to Jerry Petrowski.
Jerry, how could you? How could you could you do that to my daughter? How could you do that to my mother? How could you do that to us?
Jerry, we expected more from you.
