There is new activity in both OccupyMpls and elsewhere.  I'm going to lead with this pic because it shows how these activities can harmonize.

The sign is held by an Occupier at a MoveOn organized Tax Day event. We heard about this event at a 99% Spring Training, and Occupy's involvement made this event much stronger.

Tax the 1% gathered at the Minneapolis Convention Center after some "occupied" a light rail transit car with signs on the way there. The train ride had nearly been abandoned, but hearing this at Spring Training Sunday, Henry (pictured above) helped resurrect it, though I did not do that portion of it as I wanted to be cheap and ride my bike.

US Bank was having its shareholders meeting inside, some of the group were able to go in and make statements, including Monique White and here are some of the others coming out from the meeting

Occupy Homes was very visible at this rally. Frank Clark, another homeowner fighting foreclosure speaks

Those of us outside got to deal with "effiigies" of US Bank CEO Richard Davis and Wells Fargo's Jon Campbell :-) ready to escape in their fancy horse drawn carriage

Oh Noes! They are getting away!

We "chased" them through downtown, chanting things like We are the 99% and Bust Up Big Banks. Here we turn the corner onto Nicollet Mall, I think we had about 150, not bad for a weekday

This was perfectly timed so business people on their lunch breaks would see us, reactions varied, many took photos, but they definitely looked!

We ended in front of Wells Fargo ,promising to be back until we get economic justice.

Besides OccupyHomes growing over the winter, the core of OccupyMpls has been meeting and planning, too. Peavey Plaza was chosen for a new encampment with mixed results. The weather has been challenging at times, and local govt & the cops even more so , resulting in a KSTP camera man filing charges http://www.occupyminneapolis.mn/...

but at least one evening was pleasant and peaceful enough for me to get in on a picnic

a footnote on 99% Spring Training: I thought ours was OK, not perfect, good info, properly focused on direct actions, great chance to make connections, could have benefited from advance communication with groups expected to attend, such as Take Action MN, unions, and Occupy

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
