Good morning and do come in, please can I show you around,
This place has known a lot of pain and its history, is not so sound.
It all began right over here, in this very room and if you look closely,
Bore deep there in the floor stained in crimson red, the loss of the one who loved him truly.
It was the pain that shook the floors, shattered every window and brought down every decor
All of it was from the death of his mother, dead…..there on the floor.
Well, on to the next room and here you can see reminisce of repair from before,
There is a lot of dust scattered on the floor and the drapes are all tattered and tore.
Here he married his high school sweetheart, because he couldn’t keep his pants off the floor,
He never regretted his little girl, only the mistake of marring that whore.
She caused him much pain as she cheated on him while he and their child slept in their room,
That’s why this room looks like a bomb went off….with a pretty big boom.
Is there more you ask, there are a few more rooms and the next room is really quite nice,
This is his daughter’s room and everything is in its place just right.
The walls are painted with lavender, with stuffed animals high and low,
With her snow globes lined up on shelves and her face all a glow.
She is twelve now and even though it doesn’t look like this now,
This is how he will always remember her, like a princess, even after her vows.
Next is the newest room, he thought life was good in the house,
The damage is still fresh from the fire and the water when the room was doused.
In this room he married his recent wife and they’ve been together for quite awhile,
He would tell her he loved her and she would say it too and smile.
He would buy her flowers and shower her with pretty things,
She would reciprocate by saying “Thank you”, “I love you” or by other means.
Then she met another and left him for this older guy,
That’s when the fire started and he realized, love you couldn’t buy.
He was hurt during that fire and his pains are still real,
Sitting and wondering what to do, as his skin begins to peal.
Time heals all wounds, and his skin will eventually heal,
But at this moment the pain is just too real.
Well thanks for coming to look at this place,
Right now, my heart is still damaged and its rooms are not ready to be replaced.
Give me a little time and the pain will subside,
Right now let’s just take a walk outside.
On the outside, everything appears to be structurally sound,
But on the inside, that’s where the all work to be done, is found.
