The place I was expecting to move into this weekend has mysteriously become unavailable. I think the guy is having problems getting repairs done in time, but he hasn't returned calls or messages for a few days now. Meanwhile I need to be out as of tomorrow. My landlady's daughter is moving back from New Zealand and plans to live here in the space I've been in the past two plus years. This is all much more difficult because I have three, (3, trois, tres, 1+1+1) woozles. They are all sweet and well-behaved lab mixes, and I'm trying to avoid having to give either of them up. And, finding a place where I can have one dog is tough enough, much less three.
If there is anyone in the region who has suggestions or knows of possibilities please pass them along in the comments. I will be busy much of today packing and moving things to a storage unit, but will be checking on comments and emails periodically to see if any new possibilities have come through. I'm currently in Harrisburg and would prefer to remain in the general Eugene/Springfield area - the place I thought I was moving is in Springfield as is the storage unit I rented. AND, at this point a roof at night and a space that works for my dogs is key. I can afford rent+utilities up to $500 or so. I have money and work lined up for a while, (I'm a handyman/jack-of-all-trades with an emphasis on finish work.), which is also part of why I want to stay in the area.
Anyway, if you know of any possibilities please pass them along. Me, Buster, Luscious and Reddog all thank you.
4:22 PM PT: I believe the immediate time frame is covered. I have two possibilities, one from a fellow Kossack, and another from a local contact. I also just received a response to my Craigslist place wanted ad and it sounds like a good match. I'm hoping to be able to get by to meet the homeowner this afternoon or early evening. Thanks for your support and encouragement. This truly is a community and I'm grateful for that.
8:37 PM PT: Whoo Hoo! The contact from the Craigslist ad was a winner. The homeowner loves dogs and is looking forward to having dogs in the house once again. We also had a good conversation and I feel confident that this will be a good situation - far better than the one that fell through in Springfield. Thanks Again you wonderful people.
