The Examiner’s Spokane Conservative Examiner quotes Rep. Allen West (R-FL) as saying liberals are the enemy who must be hunted down like Nazis.

West, who was forced to take early retirement from the Army after torturing a detainee, said this Saturday night (May 5) to conservatives at a Broward County Lincoln Day dinner in Fort Lauderdale.

Encouraging Republicans to “find the enemy and fight them wherever they are” like American paratroopers from the 101st and 82nd Airborne did the night before the D-day invasion, West said they “must be like sharks that smell blood in the water.”

“Ladies and gentlemen, you don’t win on defense. You win on offense,” he said.

Then, to throw more gasoline on the fire, West shared his ludicrous opinion about President Obama’s new campaign slogan.  Newby, like West, believes that instead of the word standing for the direction President Obama wants to take the country, forward, not backwards, there is some sort of socialist, Marxist communist theme behind this evil word, this slogan of Satan.

On Saturday night, Rep. Allen West (R-FL) fired up conservatives at a Broward County Lincoln Day dinner in Fort Lauderdale.

West hit the left hard throughout his speech, and encouraged Republicans to “fight back against…liberal progressivism.”

He also went after the President for his economic policies and told them they would “be surprised” to learn where Obama got his ‘Forward‘ slogan from.

“This is a moral discussion we’ve having in this country, because we‘re talking about what we’re going to leave for our children and grandchildren,” he said.

He also warned them that “in the twinkle of an eye, we can lose this great nation.”

West closed his remarks with a quote from a notorious Confederate general from the Civil War, which is odd since this same General would have thought West — being black — was his personal property to be bought and sold at will.

By urging conservatives to “be like sharks that smell blood in the water,” by telling them to “find and fight the enemy wherever they are” like WWII paratroopers, by telling his listeners that they need to “go on offense,” is West inciting the kind of bloodshed too often caused by right wing sociopaths like Jason Todd Ready, 39, the Arizona self-professed neo-Nazi who police believe murdered his girlfriend, the woman’s daughter and granddaughter and the daughter’s boyfriend before taking his own life?  Is he saying his audience needs to be more like the anti-Government father and son duo who killed two West Memphis police officers in 2010 before being gunned down in a shootout in a Wal-Mart parking lot?  Is he saying “be more like the right wing clown in Dallas who set a truck on fire to lure police officer to shoot at?” Should they be more like that poor, insane 67-year old woman in Yuba City, California, who was killed by police when she pointed a shotgun at census workers and refused to drop it?  Are we supposed to be more like the two idiots, one of which said, “he would kill to defend his country and he was stealing weapons to defend his country,” after murdering a Pennsylvania lawyer with a stolen gun? Are we supposed to act like the young moron who was convinced the nation was secretly controlled by a cabal that would eradicate freedom of speech, take away his guns and use the military to enslave the citizenry when he shot and killed three police officers in Pennsylvania?

What is it, precisely, Congressman West wants us to do?

Are we supposed to terrorize liberal congressmen? Try to start a revolution by attempting to kill members of the Tides Foundation and the ACLU? Form a religious militia and plot to kill a police officer then set off a bomb at his funeral?

Maybe we don’t need to go that far.  Maybe we just need to beat and abuse our kids if they show signs of being gay.  Will that suffice?  Got yourself a lesbian daughter?  Get her good and raped! That will straighten her out!  Are these the small battles we can fight if we don’t want to actually kill any one, Mr. Newby?  Congressman West?

Congressman West shows the best place to shoot a liberal.

Or are these minor acts not enough?  Should we go full warfare?  Like Keith Luke, a 22-year-old Brockton, Mass., man who authorities said killed three after he devised an “evil plan” fueled by racism to kill as many “nonwhites” and Jews as he could before taking his own life in 2009? Or are you calling on us to be brave like John Patrick Bedell, who opened fire in March 2010 at the Pentagon entrance, wounding two police officers before he was fatally shot? (Investigators were trying to unravel a bizarre series of Internet postings that suggested Bedell was fascinated with conspiracy theories, computer programming, libertarian economics and the science of warfare. ) We need to be stalwart and well-prepared for battle, like 23-year old Richard Poplawski of Pittsburgh who thought Obama was coming to get his guns, so he shot and killed three cops in April 2009, letting them bleed to death at his doorway as he held police at bay for four hours? He survived with minor injuries, since he was wearing a bullet-proof vest.  Should we be sneaky, like Dannie Baker of Miramar Beach, Florida, who warned his neighbors not to host any immigrants, before creeping up on a townhouse window with a rifle, shooting three, killing two? And he was a volunteer at the Walton County Republican Headquarters during the Bush-Cheney presidential campaign in 2004.  Of course, we all know how Bill O’Reilly provoked the murder of abortion doctor George Tiller (“Tiller the Killer,” O’Reilly used to call him) back in 2009.  Tiller got shot in the head.  While at church.  Of course there was that other father-son team, Bruce and Joshua Turnidge, who wanted “to attack the political infrastructure” and ended up killing two police officers with a bomb in Woodburn, Oregon in 2008.  And in Joe Newby’s own Spokane, Washington, cops were able to dismantle a bomb placed in the route of an MLK day parade in January 2011.  Did any of the authorities contact Newby to ascertain his location?  We have no idea.

But is this what we’re talking about, Congressman West?  Is this how we are supposed to “fight” the forces of oppression?  Are we supposed to fill the streets and gutters with blood at your and Joe Newby’s demand?  Tell us when, Congressman West.  Lead us.  Lead us into the breach and tell us who to fight, who to kill, who to murder in the name of your right wing nutjob version of America.

Fucking traitors.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
