What a day! Got the official e-mail that confirms my delegate status to the Democratic Convention in Charlotte!
Then again, given the vote on Tuesday in North Carolina, maybe the convention will be moved?
I don't think so, mainly due to the enormous planning that goes into a convention.
And the President comes out for Marriage Equality! Fox news heads explode!
Let me calm down a bit below the biscuit...
I say biscuit because my wife and I went to Charlotte last year when the General Assembly of the Unitarians was held there. We dined at the King's Kitchen,
....a not for profit restaurant serving up southern cuisine made with fresh, local ingredients from right here in our community. And the proceeds go back to the community, helping to feed those in need. So, come on in. Because when you dine, the whole community thrives.
They had the BEST biscuits that my wife had ever tasted - and she likes biscuits and therefore I defer to her. We plan to go again together - hope to have at least one meal here.
I have to get busy now - blocking out vacation time so I can attend, and brown-bagging lunch to save up money for the trip and hotel.
This is a celebratory diary, and after the President's announcement, I think we can say that he is Standing on the Side of Love.
I would like kossacks to give me any ideas they have, issues to talk about, and I will try to convey the progressive's point of view as best I can to my fellow delegates.
So feel free to list things I can bring up.
I'm listening.
