The Romney campaign, apparently realizing that Americans look none too kindlyon bullies these days, has resorted to trolling through his high school yearbook looking for surrogates to defend his "pranks" but no one's biting. How pathetic is this? I know I wasn't the most popular of gals in high school but I could certainly scrounge up one or two former friends to say I was a good friend and kind person. Romney can't find any such people!
Even the guy quoted in the article (the one at who's party Ann and Mitt first met) says he's still debating whether or not to help the campaign. Seriously? If you're going on the record for an article like this you've already made this call. The article is NOT helpful, bub. The article goes on to say...
"One former classmate and old friend of Romney’s – who refused to be identified by name – said there are “a lot of guys” who went to Cranbrook who have “really negative memories” of Romney’s behavior in the dorms, behavior this classmate describes as “like Lord of the Flies.”
The classmate believes Romney is lying when he claims to not remember it.
“It makes these fellows [who have owned up to it] very remorseful. For [Romney] not to remember it? It doesn’t ring true. How could the fellow with the scissors forget it?” the former classmate said.
"It’s been a long time since we’ve been pals.” While the Post reports White as having “long been bothered” by the haircutting incident"
With friends like these, Romney doesn't need enemies.
