Sheldon Adelson
Sheldon Adelson is just one of the Republican billionaires
pouring money into defending Scott Walker.

Ending Spending Action Fund, the Super PAC that wants to make the Rev. Jeremiah Wright an issue in the presidential campaign, is also backing Scott Walker in the Wisconsin recall. Walker is the beneficiary of a six-figure media buy including a television ad and online campaign. The television ad touts Walker's courage, claiming he "did what he was elected to do" even though "it wasn't easy, or always popular" and that Wisconsin is on the right track economically. If you look at the numbers Walker prefers and that can't be compared to equivalent data from other states, anyway.

Between pro-Walker contributions and spending by the Ending Spending Super PAC, Sheldon Adelson, Amway founder Rich DeVos, Swiftboater Bob Perry, and the Koch brothers, the importance Republicans place on winning this recall election and keeping Scott Walker as governor of Wisconsin is crystal clear. Unfortunately, the Democratic National Committee isn't putting the same priority on supporting Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett's effort to unseat Walker, and Democrats don't have as deep a bench of billionaire-driven Super PACs as Republicans.

Tom Barrett needs our help. Please give $4 to help him defeat Scott Walker on June 5.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

polls that say Scott Walker leads Tom Barrett in the horse race for governor`s upcoming recall election, and Oh, my freaking god, now unions are helping the scumbag, as the comment obove describes Walker.

Oh and did I mention that these same unions are pouring money to help Walker???

Damn, I have only one question. I hope someone here who is more observant than me, can help me here:

Where the fuck are the million signers of the petitions to recall this asshole? Are these signers now backing off and are more scared than I am.

I am just one of those million that signed the petition. If you know where the rest are -- and if you think that the mere fact that one million is enough to kick ass, why I am not hearing anything about this?

I mean, you know -- I am just wondering.

.. second most important election in 2012.
    The Nation

If Walker and his allies are removed from office, the results will be seen across the country as a rejection of the idea that cutting taxes for the rich while attacking unions and slashing services will somehow spur job growth. That's why The Nation is endorsing Tom Barrett for Governor of Wisconsin. A candidate whom Russell Feingold hails as “a lifelong progressive [who] stood with me in voting against the deregulation that led to the Wall Street crash, opposing the Patriot Act and reforming our system of campaign finance,” Barrett is well-known for getting people to work together, keeping lines of communication open and uniting disparate interests. Support and join Barrett's campaign today.
I'm in for Tom Barrett - beating Walker is a repudiation of much more than puny little Walker man. It's a major blow to big $, media, and best of all the republican propaganda based machine
