Regardless of whether or not Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker (R-Divide and Conquer) survives a recall effort against him, he will never be able to live down his "divide and conquer" remarks that he made to Diane Hendricks, the billionnare co-founder of ABC Building Supply, who gave a whopping $510,000 to Walker's campaign, the single biggest donation to an official gubernatorial campaign in Wisconsin history.
Brad Lichtenstein, a filmmaker who recorded Walker's "divide and conquer" comment while filming the documentary As Goes Janesville, which is slated to air on PBS stations sometime after the June 5 recall election...you know what, let's just roll the tape...
Video of Walker's Divide & Conquer Comments and Barrett's Reaction
...anyways, Lichtenstein has exposed Scott Walker's union-busting agenda. That's right, Walker wants to make Wisconsin a right-to-work-for-less state! Walker himself supported right-to-work-for-less legislation as a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly in 1993, and he's always been for right-to-work-for-less legislation.
Scott Walker is a first-class liar and political manipulator that wants to bust public-sector and private-sector unions as the key component of a larger right-wing power grab in Wisconsin funded by Diane Hendricks, the Koch Brothers, and other big-wig Republican donors. Walker has already taken away collective bargaining away from public-sector unions in Wisconsin, and he's dead set on making Wisconsin a right-to-work-for-less state if he survives the recall against him.
Walker's agenda is not merely about balancing the State of Wisconsin's budget, it's about taking away workers' rights!
I'm not in Wisconsin, but I am asking for the good people of the State of Wisconsin to get out the vote for Tom Barrett and Mahlon Mitchell on June 5, because the stakes are high, and the very future of the State of Wisconsin is on the line. Oh, and while, I'm at it, I'm asking the good people of Wisconsin's 13th State Senate District to get out the vote for Lori Compas, and help defeat State Senate Republican Leader and first-class misogynist Scott Fitzgerald. Oh, and Democrats John Lehman, Kristen Dexter, and Donna Seidel are running for the Wisconsin State Senate against Republicans Van Wanggaard, Terry Moulton, and Jerry Petrowski, respectively.
