There's a really funny new music video starring Mitt Romney in his own words, auto-tuned by the awesome Gregory Brothers. They are the guys who did the unforgettable hit "Bed Intruder Song" and of course all the "Auto-Tune the News" videos.
"Mitt Romney's favorite things" here. Watch it, you'll like it.
("Bed Intruder Song" here, in case you finally got it out of your head and need to be reminded.)
Just like the "Bed Intruder Song", this new song stands on its own as a catchy tune you can't forget. Good thing, too, because its message is one that everyone needs to remember: Mitt Romney is as insincere as they come: To try to get you to like him he tell you that, wow, he likes whatever everyone else likes!
Here are the lyrics to the first part of "Mitt Romney's favorite things," all sung (auto-tuned) by Mitt himself in seamlessly spliced video clips:
What's up gangstas? It's the M-I-double-tizzle.
I love people
I love lakes
I was born and raised here
I love this state
I love cars
I love American cars
I love you
I love lakes
I love businesses
I like silly stuff
I like mandates
I like grits
I like "Twilight"
I love this country
I like music of almost any kind, including this.
I love lakes
I love seeing the lakes
The Great Lakes
Also all the little lakes
Another great part comes when Mitt sings about his sense of humor:
Yeah, I like humor
I like jokes as well as things that are fun
My sons are tired of my jokes
I live for laughter
(One of the Gregory brothers: "Yeah, Chris Rock!")
Three Stooges
(Gregory brother: "Will Ferrell")
Laurel and Hardy
(Gregory brother: "Tina Fey!")
Keystone Kops
I like it all
The Gregory Brothers do a great job emphasizing that Romney's comedy preferences are all from ancient black-and-white movies, and that he never mentions anyone remotely current today.
Maybe the funniest moment is when Mitt sings:
I like being able to fire people.
(Back-up dancers: "Wait, what?")
Hope this song becomes a hit that everyone is singing by election day.
