I would like to apologize to those who were insulted by the title of my action diary that was aimed at those who have not been involved in the Recall Scott Walker movement. The diary was not meant for those who were involved in the movement, and I am sorry that the diary was taken in that manner. Some of you wrote that I should sit down and listen to those who chimed in about the title, but I was stubborn and just didn't think that the title should be worth fussing over and thought it was clear enough that it was for those who hadn't been involved before. I was wrong, and please accept my apologies.
I would like to hear from you guys what you think of this excellent diary by wmspringer. I think it's a very viable issue that could move the needle to the left.
Last weekend, Magorn posted an excellent diary about Scott Walker having appointed a "deer Czar", who appears to believe that it's his mission to do away with hunting on public lands in favor of paying private landowners to hunt. As he points out, this may be a way to drive home to many Walker supporters that they're voting against their own self-interest.
So I went ahead and threw together a quick website - saveWIdeerhunting.info - summarizing what's going on. I'm noticing that when I'm on Facebook lately, I often get "keep Wisconsin red" advertisements. This weekend I think I'll see if I can find a few bucks and direct people in WI with an interest in hunting to this site. (Note: I put the site up on Tuesday night; I'm delaying this diary until Wednesday morning so the DNS changes have time to propagate, but it's still possible that you might not be able to see it yet; if that happens, try back later)
Suggestions (on both the site and the facebook advertisements) welcomed!
His diary is slipping down the list, and it deserves to be on the top. Speaking as someone who's run advertising campaigns on Facebook before, I think this could be an issue that resonates with people in Wisconsin. I have talked to wmspringer, and paid for stock photos that can be used in advertisements. I want to hear more from you guys about what you think on this. Can this be done?
