Search the hashtag #istandwithsecupp in the Twitterverse and you'll find any one of about 100 asshats calling for Obama to phone Ms. Cupp and offer his support.  Do you think they understand that by doing so they are equating Rush Limbaugh with Larry Flynt?

It's not even close.  One is a fat, impotent, perverted old windbag.  The other publishes Hustler Magazine.

So we're on to the false equivalency thing again.  First a commentator on CNN says that Ann Romney has never worked a day in her life and that means there is a war on women from the left (but we can't say "war" because it trivializes the meaning of that word unless it's used to talk about the war on Christmas).  Now, the left is a bunch of mysoginistic pigs because Larry Flynt's magazine wondered in picture form what SE Cupp would look like with a dick in her mouth (I just giggled a little to myself).

Flynt publishes a magazine that reaches about one half million men over the age of 18.  The magazine generally is behind the counter at convenience stores or is mailed to you in packaging that hides its contents.  Rush Limbaugh spouts his shit over public air waves and claims to reach 30 million people a day.

Sandra Fluke was called a slut by the de facto leader of the republican party for advocating for birth control coverage for non-birth control reasons.  SE Cupp had a dick photoshopped over her mouth because...I don't know because Larry Flynt thinks she needs a dick in her mouth.  It's not quite the same as saying Jerry Falwell was conceived in an outhouse.

Oh yeah, it's funny how many people on twitter are calling for lawsuits against Hustler.  To that I say, "please, pretty pretty please start filing them."  Piss off Larry Flynt, he is so good for the left when he gets pissed off, mostly becuase he exposes the hypocrisy on the right.  That and I look forward to the People vs Larry Flynt II.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
