Don't tell me what you value. Show me your budget and I will tell you what you value.
~~~ Joseph Robinette Biden, Sr. ~~~
Organized Labor is a valuable support in the emerging empathic civilization.
Do you value your fellow human being as yourself?
Do you value Liberal Democracy?
Grab the label on the back of your shirt & read it to yourself.
...that's who you are.
All this other talk
Organized Labor creates an economic and emotional shelf that signature parties refuse to travel below.
There is a wordless being. A being I cannot touch or isolate.
It's a clam, after moral decisions I have made in my relation to the concepts & contracts of Organized Labor.
If I make the right decisions, the momentarily tough choices, at times a calm comes over me.
It makes me feel ready for death; wholly and seemingly better prepared to leave.
It's this value I value.
More Tagging tips:
A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?
Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.
If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.
Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.
Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
    a nationwide workers movement in this country like they do in European countries. We have a fractured union movement that has gotten weaker year after year. It is time to stop organizing industry by industry and to organize a nationwide workers movement. It is time for the labor movement to evolve.
    As a nation, the U.S. consumes the most hot dogs per capita. So you'd be wise to never underestimate our powers of denial.
    I wonder how many self-employed union members there are? If there's only one, I'm him.
    Looking around, unions are fighting harder for what's immediately threatening me than Democrats are. This I remember when I look at my monthly spending allowance.
