We all remember and love Pres. George W. Bush for his courageous fight against terrorism. We all remember how GW Bush determined which countries were involved in the 9/11 terrorist attacks against the US. It was one-time Bush policy: any country that the US has invaded, is a country that was responsible for the 9/11 attacks. And that's how we found our that Iraq was involved in the 9/11 attacks. Good thing too, because the United States very own Joint Congressional Inquiry Into 9/11 failed to identify Iraq as one of the countries that caused the 9/11 attacks. Were it not for the commanding skills of GW Bush, we might have blithely continued to think Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11.
One of the really cool things about Pres. Obama is that he is a centrist. He will use any good practical idea, regardless of which side of the aisle it comes from. So Pres. Obama has no qualms about using the Bush-like policy on identifying terrorists: a terrorist is any male above the age of 14 who happens to be standing where our bombs are falling. And using this new policy, Pres. Obama has been remarkably successful at finding previously unidentified terrorists. There is no way to know exactly how many people that no one even knew was a terrorist have been killed, but it is a lot: like hundreds if not thousands. See, Pakistan is embarrassed by the ease with which our president is finding all these people who no on thought were terrorists in their country, so the Pakistani government won't let reporter go in and see how many terrorists actually got killed with our bombs. And the truly remarkable thing about this new Obama method for identifying terrorists is that it minimizes civilian casualties. The Obama administration tells us that ZERO civilians have been mistakenly killed in any drone strikes, only terrorists. Amazing!! No republican presidents can claim such a thing!
And speaking of republicans, Mitt Romney has yet to tell us his policy on killing terrorists. First off, we probably won't believe him, no matter what he might say, and secondly, whatever he might say will most likely be diametrically opposed to anything he said about killing terrorists during the GOP primary race. But, given the success Pres. Obama has had with finding and killing previously unknown terrorists, it is hard to imagine that Romney will go back to the old-fashioned and time-consuming methods of developing intelligence sources, sending in a team of commandos to capture the target, and bringing the terrorist to court for all the world to see. No, that's so 2007, and those days are gone forever.
There's talk inside the beltway that Pres. Obama is now working on a new policy to identify revolutionaries who want to topple the US government: a revolutionary is any person who happens to be standing where a policeman is swinging a billy club or spraying mace. Let's all make sure that Pres. Obama gets a second term so that we continue as the shining beacon of liberty and civil rights to the world!
