You may have read that Elizabeth Warren had a challenger for the Democratic nomination. Not anymore.
In a surprising show of strength -- even the state party chair expected a primary -- Elizabeth Warren received 95.77% of convention delegates' votes today. Her challenger needed 15% of the votes to get on the ballot, something that was expected to be easier than collecting 10,000 signatures to get to the convention. However, Marisa DeFranco ended up with less than 5%.
An analyst for regional news station New England Cable News tweeted that this was "the biggest endorsement ever for a Democratic Convention in an open seat," adding in a follow-up tweet, "Wow."
"I'm ready!" Warren told the convention.
We campaign volunteers are, too.
