One of the myriad throw-it-all-against-the-wall-and-see-if-it-sticks arguments that has come from the Walker camp regarding the recall is that some enterprising citizen registered the domain RecallScottWalker.com on the very day that Walker was elected, Nov. 2, 2010 -- before Walker had even had a chance to wreak havoc.
It now appears that RecallTomBarrett.com was spoken for on April 10 of this year, weeks before he even won the primary. The registration went through DomainsByProxy so the name of the registrant is not publicly available -- which makes me suspect that this involved a certain amount of sophistication and coordination.
RecallBarrett.com was then snagged on May 10, after the primary but (obviously) before the election that will happen on Tuesday. My hunch is that this one is a less-sophisticated enterprising-citizen move because the name is not hidden.
No wonder the Walker camp is predicting another recall season after this one, if Tom Barrett wins the election. The groundwork is already being laid.

Update: After seeing the first few comments, and re-reading the diary, I should perhaps point out -- I'm not at all worried about a recall of Barrett. I'm just agape at this yet-another-instance of unrepentant, unremitting hypocrisy. How else to describe a strategy of blaming the other side for occasioning something that you yourselves are planning to do?!
