TUESDAY voters are going to the polls in Wisconsin to recall
Governor Scott Walker.  The movement to recall Governor Walker began
with citizens standing up and saying no to his efforts to end
collective bargaining in Wisconsin, among other horrible anti-worker
proposals. The citizens in Wisconsin took over their State Capitol
building, inspired their Democratic State Senators to leave the state
to prevent quorum, and lit a spark of saying no to injustice that is
still felt today. Now, it's up to all of us to make sure that was
started last year in Wisconsin ends with a decisive victory for
working people.

With the election on TUESDAY and tons of volunteers knocking doors,
making phone calls, and entering data-- its important that we show our
support for their hard work. One simple way is to order a pizza to
have delivered to campaign office. Not only will it feed the
volunteers, it will add much needed energy to every office. I'll never
forget having pizza arrive from afar when I out in field offices in
2006 and 2008.  During the State Capitol occupation, I started
@thefoodcaptain to make it easy to find ways to donate food. I'm
dusting it off for the final week of GOTV.

Last year, I supported the activists in Wisconsin out of sense of
solidarity that is ingrained in me as I am a forth generation union
I can't make it out to Wisconsin to knock doors so I am going to help
to make sure the volunteers are fed with fresh, yummy pizza.

Can you make a simple call to order a pizza for a field office?

Below,  I've listed a few offices to call to have pizza donated.
Sample tweets follow.  Please email, tweet, and FB all over to get
lots of food rolling into these offices. And, buy, buy, buy pizza!

Thanks for standing up for the dignity of workers,

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
