So I'm pounding the ground today and down a cul-de-sac I come across this sign in the yard of someone listed as an 88 year old lady. I wish she had been home:
Given that the doors I've been knocking are meant to be Dems who didn't vote in 2010 plus undecideds, I'm having some trouble seeing a Walker path to victory. I met one or two who wanted to vote for Walker, but next to nobody is on the fence and all are intent upon visiting their polling places on Tuesday.
Since I don't see anyone else having mentioned it, I got an email from DFA saying that they'd knocked on 15,342 doors on Saturday. I got another email from the WisDems at about 6pm today saying that their GOTV operation has knocked on 537,656 doors up to that point this weekend. If you think that adds up to a lot, We Are Wisconsin door-knocking numbers are in the same ballpark as the WisDems'. I don't know how much overlap there is, but it's quite possible that between all organizations that are involved we have knocked on 50% of all the front doors that exist in Wisconsin over the last two days. That's just the ground game: phone calls not included. And there's more to come.
