It's no secret now that Republican Leaders in Congress literally plotted to sabotage and undermine U.S. Economy during President Obama's Inauguration.

In Robert Draper's book, "Do Not Ask What Good We Do: Inside the U.S. House of Representatives" Draper wrote that during a four hour, "invitation only" meeting with GOP Minister of Propaganda, Frank Luntz, Senior GOP Congressmen plotted to sabotage, undermine and destroy America's Economy.

The Guest List:
Frank Luntz - GOP Minister of Propaganda
Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI)
Rep. Eric Cantor (R-VA)
Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA),
Rep. Pete Sessions (R-TX),
Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-TX),
Rep. Pete Hoekstra (R-MI)
Rep. Dan Lungren (R-CA),
Sen. Jim DeMint (SC-R),
Sen. Jon Kyl (AZ-R),
Sen. Tom Coburn (OK-R),
Sen. John Ensign (NV-R) and
Sen. Bob Corker (TN-R).

During the four hour meeting, the senior GOP members plotted to bring Congress to a standstill regardless how much it would hurt the American Economy by pledging to obstruct and block President Obama on all legislation.

These Republican members of Congress were not simply airing their complaints regarding the other party's political platform for four long hours.  No, these Republican Congressional Policymakers, who were elected to do 'the People's work' were literally plotting to sabotage, undermine and destroy the People's U.S. Economy.

    Yesterday The Hill Reported:

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) on Tuesday accused House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) of deliberately trying to sabotage the U.S. economy.

“That’s bull----," said Boehner spokesman Michael Steel. "House Republicans are united in our desire to get a sensible, reform-minded transportation bill done, including job-creating energy initiatives like Keystone.”

Except, Boehner spokesman Michael Steel knows it is not "bull----", as he knows, full well, that Eric Cantor is deliberately trying to sabotage the US Economy and Cantor plotted that at his covert meeting on January 20, 2009.

In fact, Boehner and his spokeman Michael Steel knows Eric Cantor along with everyone of those Republican members of Congress I listed plotted to sabotage and undermine the US Economy as was written in Robert Draper's book.

Eric Cantor's spokesperson Laena Fallon shot back at Senator Reid:

“Leader Reid’s claims are ridiculous and patently false. Rather than making up stories that have no basis in reality, Leader Reid should follow the House’s example and focus on pro-growth measures that will get the economy going and get people back to work,” she said.
No, Laena Fallon, Senator Reid's claims are not "ridiculous" as Senator Reid is spot on, Eric Cantor is deliberately sabotaging the US Economy.

For months prior to January 20, 2009, America had been losing over 750,000 jobs per month because of policies these same elected Republican lawmakers had enacted and their goal, their goal that night, was to plot ways to sabotage and undermine any and all legislation that would pull American families up and out of the economic calamity they [lawmakers] had helped create.

These same Republican members of Congress supported the very Bush/Cheney policies that caused America to teeter on the brink of the 2nd Great Depression and caused the 2007 US Economic Meltdown.

These guys can't say they were sitting at dinner for four hours discussing any objection to Stimulus Legislation and raising the Debt Ceiling because of political ideology as each one of them voted yes on Bush/Cheney Stimulus Bills and yes every time Bush/Cheney wanted to raise the Debt Ceiling.

Here's how they all voted:
-- "Yes" to Bush/Cheney January 2008 Stimulus
-- "Yes" to Bush/Cheney bailing out Bear Stern
-- "Yes" to Bush/Cheney bailing out AIG
-- "Yes" to Bush/Cheney TARP (sept 2008)
-- "Yes" to Bush/Cheney TARP (oct 2008)
And these same Republican members of Congress:
-- Supported Bush/Cheney keeping cost of two wars out of the Budget
-- Supported Bush/Cheney spending $4Trillion on Top 1% Tax Cuts while trying to pay down Debt on Two Wars.
Ahhh ... but at their dinner they plotted to suddenly stop supporting any stimulus legislation:
"Show united and unyielding opposition to the president’s economic policies."

Rep Kevin McCarthy said,
"We've gotta challenge them on every single bill."

Not only did these Senior members of Congress plot to destroy the American Economy more than it already was destroyed? They actually carried out their mission:
- Every one of these Senior members of Congress have threatened Government Shutdown over things like:
not funding planned parenthood, not raising the Debt Ceiling which, in-and-of-itself, would cause US Economic turmoil.

... oh, and stay current, these same House GOP members of Congress are still, today, threatening a Government Shutdown again over the Debt Ceiling.

- Senators: Jim DeMint, Jon Kyl, Tom Coburn, John Ensign, and Bob Corker have
- Filibustered more Bills than any Congress combined in US History.
- Voted NO on every single piece of Legislation brought to the Floor including: NO on Al Franken's Anti-Rape Amendment, NO on Lilly Ledbetter, NO on Fair Pay Act.
- Representatives: Paul Ryan, Eric Cantor, Kevin McCarthy, Rep. Pete Sessions, Jeb Hensarling, Pete Hoekstra and Dan Lungren
- Voted NO on every single piece of Legislation; including NO on increasing FEMA during natural disasters.
- Have been on tv constantly chanting the lie that they were guilty of ... the lie that "President Obama's policies undermine the US Economy."

Remember, in March 2009 Rep. Pete Sessions said Republicans should follow the model of the Taliban in its legislative battles.

In the March 2009 interview with National Journal Rep Sessions said:

"Taliban Insurgency, we understand perhaps a little bit more because of the Taliban.  Insurgency is the way they went about systematically understanding how to disrupt and change a person's entire processes. And these Taliban -- is an example of how you go about to change a person from their messaging to their operations to their frontline message. And we need to understand that insurgency may be required when the other side, the Democrat House leadership, does not follow the same commands, which we entered the game with."

~Rep Pete Sessions, March 2009 to National Journal

Rep Pete Sessions went on to say:
"If they [democrats] do not give us those options or opportunities then we will then become insurgency ... I think insurgency is a mindset and an attitude that we're going to have to search for and find ways to get our message out and to be prepared to see things for what they are, rather than trying to do something about them"
In the same National Journal interview, Rep Session's staffer said,
"Rep. Sessions is trying to convey that the Republicans need to start thinking about how to act strategically from their perch in the minority."
Yes, these Republican Congressional leaders are using Karl Rove's playbook and falsely accused the President of what they were guilty of: Intentionally Sabotaging & Undermining the US Economy.  And, again, in keeping with Karl Rove propaganda, they chant the same lie over and over and over again.

I personally think these Republican members of Congress who plotted to undermine America's Economy are TRAITORS.

These members of Congress, are paid to do The People's work.  They are not paid to plot ways to undermine American families by destroying the US Economy.

Their acts that night are disgusting, repulsive, unbecoming of a member of Congress and they should be expelled from Congress for their covert plot to destroy and weaken America's Economy and for obstructing The People's work from getting done.

I urge everyone to contact Senator Harry Reid, Speaker Boehner and Darrell Issa and tell them to:

Hold Hearings to Expel the following people from Congress for being Traitors & plotting to sabotage the President by destroy to the US Economy:
Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI)
Rep. Eric Cantor (R-VA)
Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA),
Rep. Pete Sessions (R-TX),
Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-TX),
Rep. Pete Hoekstra (R-MI)
Rep. Dan Lungren (R-CA),
Sen. Jim DeMint (SC-R),
Sen. Jon Kyl (AZ-R),
Sen. Tom Coburn (OK-R),
Sen. John Ensign (NV-R) and
Sen. Bob Corker (TN-R).
Traitors have no business writing or voting on US Laws.

Oh, and the next time you hear the GOP say "Obama wants to destroy the economy" or "Government Shutdown" ... remember ... as Newt Gingrich said after their four hour dinner on January 20, 2009 "You’ll remember this as the day the seeds of 2012 were sown."
   To Translate GINGRICH:
"You'll remember this day as they day we became Traitors to the United States."

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

  •  Tell Harry? Why would one do that? (0+ / 0-)

Since he lost Nancy, he's done what?  (Even then, he was a milquetoast, climate change bill? etc. etc...imho) He exploits the Sen Dem advantage in the Senate how?  Democratic legislation advanced?  Support of President's initiatives?

    Just curious?

  •  Reid & Pelosi part of the problem (0+ / 0-)

All the problems the Democrats have can be traced to them.  When they got back Congress in 2006 - they had a mandate to impeach Bush and Cheney and then put them on trial for War Crimes.  The public also wanted the Wars defunded and the troops brought home.

Then Obama came on the scene - more of the same type of appeasement instead of the action the public was demanding.

I voted for Obama but won't do so again.

    in the context of sedition?

Sedition: def., revolt or an incitement to revolt against established authority, usually in the form of Treason or Defamation against government.

Because if what they're doing isn't sedition, I don't know how much closer you can get to it.

  •  treasonous for sure... (0+ / 0-)

but then I think this cabal and their actions truely meet the definition of  terrorism

Terrorism is the systematic use of terror, especially as a means of coercion....Terrorism has been practiced by a broad array of political organizations for furthering their objectives.
