It ain’t over till ALL the votes are counted.
And as we speak (or write) they are busy at the Marin County Registrar’s office counting some 40,000 more absentee ballots. Note that there are only 1379 votes separating Norman Solomon (D) from Dan Roberts (R) as they vie for that second place spot that would get them on the Nov. Ballot.
As a volunteer and supporter of the grassroots progressive, Norman Solomon (endorsed by such people as George Lakoff, Rep. Raul Grijalva,co-chair of the Progressive Caucus, Rep. John Conyers, Rep. Dennis Kucinich, Alan Grayson etc), my hope is still active.

Note that Dems are 75.2% of the votes cast. It makes one realize that the splintering of the Dem/Left votes(anyone but Jared) might result in NO real progressive candidate on the ballot and in fact could result in an even further right opponent in the form of a Republican. (for the record Jared calls himself a progressive...I don't)
What boggles my mind are the numbers who voted for Stacy Lawson, ostensibly a (D). I envision them as being the voting population that gets all their info from TV ads. (like my neighbor who thought her expensive ads sounded good) Unfortunately her ads don't mention her lack of a voting record and woo woo blogs on Huff post that she eradicated). Stacy the photogenic millionaire, the non-voter, got 10.1 % of the votes. Very sad.
And then it is equally sad that only around 1/3 of those eligible to vote...even bothered.
