I was thinking about Romney's whole Bain problem. Basically, he wants to say that he can do a good job as president, because he did well as a businessman. That's all fine and great. Make that claim, let Americans decide if what you say is true. Make sure that your business record holds up to the scrutiny of the American voter. Show them everything you did, right?
Well, of course not. He doesn't want to talk about it. He won't talk about it, because it exposes him as a vampire. I don't mean that he's one of those cute vampires. I'm talking about the kind that keeps its food mildly sedated so that it can get fresh blood whenever it wants. It has to keep the food alive for long enough to suck out all the rich nutrients.
That got me thinking about good ol' Zombie Reagan.
Reagan isn't a zombie at all. He never was. He was always a vampire.
Romney's capital firm keeps being misrepresented in the media. I keep hearing conservatives calling radio stations and saying that it's no big deal about Romney. They say that he was going into unhealthy companies and turning them around. One of the tools he used, they say, was bankruptcy.
That's not really what he did. It's really important that people remember to talk about his business record in the right way. What he did was going into healthy companies, and extract all of the resources in the company by putting the company into debt.
The Vampire known as Bain kept its food alive long enough to siphon out all of its resources, leaving a little raisiny polyp of the company's former self there. This is what they did to KayBee Toy and Hobby.
Reagan did approximately the same thing to the US. He came in as president to a situation where the US debt to gdp ration was around 40%. He left with that same ratio being 60%. By the time his lesser intelligent protege, Bush, husband of Bar, left, it was even higher.
Of course, as soon as a Democrat gets in, they start complaining about the debt that they themselves caused, and because liberals are rational people who recognize that debt can be an issue, they address it. Things get better. Clinton started to lower that ratio, and then... boom. Bush "The even lesser, if you can imagine that" gets into office and starts skyrocketing that rate again.
Here's the key point that we should remember- Ronald Reagan was a vampire capitalist who traded a massive increase in the debt of the country for a cash payout to everyone but the ones who had to pay more in their social security taxes, and who, in return for paying more, were able to count on getting less back.
I was one of those victims. He took away four years of my social security survivor benefits.
It's not magic, people just aren't smart enough to figure out the trick.
