Hey, everybody else.
Almost forgot to post the Friday-night-of-NN Sour Grapes Diary.
My principal reason for not being in the middle of the mix this year is the same as always: no dough. Plus, I'm back in Soldier Town at the "real" (i.e. money-making) job and didn't even get back to the hotel room 'til 7:00.
Since I'm not at home, I don't even know the cool things you could be doing in New Orleans instead of Providence. Here in Soldier Town, as usual, you can get a title loan for your car, head to the commando outfitter shops to get the gear DOD won't supply you, pay a no-fault divorce lawyer, get a new tattoo then hit the titty bars until they tell you where you're going. Lot of that going around.
Me, I'm eating a pizza and working on a new ad, trying to put off the shower and sink-laundry for another hour before making myself go to bed to get a decent night's sleep before heading back to the base in the way too early morning.
What's up in your neck of the woods, and why is it way cooler than whatever the heck's going on in Providence tonight, like cool people like us would ever be caught in such a place, huh?
Update/downgrade: Okay, now I've got to pretend to take care of biz and get ready for bed. Carry on and remember the toast: "Next year. In Wherever the Hell They Decide!"
And, no, I didn't finish the ad. Instead, I made a quick vid for BFSkinner and mrsgoo... and everybody.
