If Congress and federal investigators spent equal resources on the role major banks played in our country's financial ruin as it has on Major League Baseball and the substances its players put into their bodies, our country would look much different than it does today.
Unfortunately, Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens (explained below) haven't donated as much money to political campaigns as Goldman Sachs and Bank of America.
I suppose this is why it's called America's pastime?

For those who don't know, baseball has received much of its attention recently in Congress due to its obsession with steroid use in baseball, and federal prosecutors have been obscenely busy investigating Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens.
Oh, and Congress has been traditionally obsessed with MLB due to its antitrust exemption.
