We have been saying it all along here at Hillbilly Report since the draconian Ryan Budget was released. All Republicans care about is maintaining the status-quo of the last thirty years and indeed they hope to make it worse. Worse for all of us. You see, while they cry about the budget, deficits and debt that they themselves caused with their greed they are always on the march to steal even more from people who do the actual work in the middle-class. Worse yet, they seek to balance the budget on the backs of the poor, the helpless and children all while keeping the party going for themselves.
Despite all the bluster and BS from the modern Republican Party and the unpatriotic, greedy ideologues that run it their goal is simple. They want to horde even more of our nation's treasure away from Americans who actually work and into the hands of Vulture capitalists such as Mitt Romney. They care not what the damage is to their country or anyone within as long as their greed wins at the end of the day.
And this is not just my opinion. Everyday we see this sad, sorry fact laid bare in front of our faces if we merely look. Today another example has been released, this time by Senate Democrats and the non-partisan Tax Policy Center. Their findings?? Republicans want to sharply cut taxes for themselves while raising them on what is left of the working middle-class all while creating trillions of new debt and slashing benefits for the most helpless among us:
The tax reform plan that House Republicans have advanced would sharply cut taxes for the wealthiest Americans and could leave middle-class households facing much larger tax bills, according to a new analysis set to be released Wednesday.
Those changes would benefit virtually every taxpayer, but they also would reduce federal tax collections by about $4.5 trillion over the next decade, according to the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center. To avoid increasing the national debt by that amount, GOP leaders such as House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (Wis.) have pledged to get rid of all the special-interest loopholes and tax shelters that litter the code.

With their track record does anyone believe these "special interest loopholes" and "tax shelters that litter the code" are anything but breaks designed to help working and lower income Americans? Of course as always with the modern Republican Party they will not tell Americans what they really want to do until we are stupid enough to elect them. Then they sock it too us with their greed:
Republicans have declined to identify their targets. However, some of the biggest “loopholes” on the books are popular tax breaks for employer-provided health insurance, mortgage interest, state and local taxes, and retirement savings, which disproportionately benefit the upper middle class.
What does Mitt Romney and the Republican Party he leads really want for our country? More of the trickle-down idiocy we have seen the last thirty years only this time around it is like Ronald Reagan, George Bush I and II and Dick Cheney have congregated toking on a crack pipe with Mitt Romney to decide our new tax policy:
So although households earning $100,000 to $200,000 a year would save about $7,000 from the lower tax rates in the GOP plan, those savings would be swamped by eliminating major deductions, according to the report by the Democratically controlled congressional Joint Economic Committee.
The net result: Married couples in that income range would pay an additional $2,700 annually to the Internal Revenue Service, on top of the tax increases that are scheduled to hit every American household when the George W. Bush-era cuts expire at the end of the year.
Households earning more than $1 million a year, meanwhile, could see a net tax cut of about $300,000 annually.
In other words they get the gold mine and the shaft!! All we are left with are the low wages they have depressed, the economy they crashed and we bailed them out for and another round of greed from some of the worst liars and most unpatriotic folks in America. This chart sums up their vision of America quite well:
Roberton Williams, a senior fellow at the Tax Policy Center summed the situation in America up quite well:
“Even with eliminating fairly major tax preferences, the Ryan tax plan remains regressive. That’s the bottom line,” he said. “Unless you go after the tax preferences that benefit the wealthy” — capital gains, dividends, tax-free interest on municipal bonds — “it’s really hard to undo the regressivity of the rate changes. You’ll be shifting the burden of the tax code toward the middle class.”
In other words Republicans are seeking to do what they always do. They are hoping to steal even more of the American dream from everyone but themselves. While they wrap themselves in the flag and Christianity the truth is that they do not care one iota about America or Christian values. They only care for their own greed and constant addiction to stealing our nation's wealth from those who have worked for it.
And while we here at Hillbilly Report have been sorely disappointed and yes, even mad as hell at the cowardice, complacency and even complicity shown by the Democratic Party and it's leaders towards the Republicans and their vision one fact remains constant. Return of the House to Republican control has caused our economy to continue to falter and return of the White House to the Republicans and their Vulture-in-Chief Mitt Romney would be an ungodly disaster.
I will choose the lesser of two evils yet again and pray for my country. We need it badly.
