Just read a link on Facebook from Raw Story where a conservative right wing sonofabitch apparently thinks it is funny to "joke" (because that's of course what it was, right?) about brutally attacking Catholic nuns who are riding around and opposing the Paul Ryan "Decimate America" / Kill Medicare plan.

The link to the Raw Story article is here

Apparently, Jan Mickleson's justification for "pulling over" the nuns and "pistol whip[ping]" them is that "They threw the first punch" by standing against Paul Ryan's disastrous to the middle class plan to savage Medicare and other social safety nets in the name of $700 wine tax cuts for the rich.

Mickleson's guest on this day was Congressman Tom Latham of Iowa's 4th District. If you listen to the audio, Latham's only response to the "pistol whipping" remark was to...laugh about it?? Seriously??

More disgusting violence against women being paraded around by the right wing, and a duly elected official can only laugh about it?

Absolutely disgusting.

Maybe an influx of "WTF" comments to the program director at 1040 WHO will get their attention?

I have no idea if Van Harden is a RWNJ like Mickleson, but it couldn't hurt to get this story out there, could it?

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
