Our sister, Nurse Kelley, and many others are still prevented by the Waldo Canyon wildfire in Colorado from returning to their homes. They're exhausted, and some are not well. Their resources are running low. Several were forced to leave cats and other companion animals at home with food and water and hope for the best, because they had no transportation to bring the animals along.
This is a vigil diary to allow us to come together and direct our positive energy, prayers, and good wishes, according to our own lights, toward those people who are suffering and need help. We visualize the fire being extinguished, and all the people coming home safely, in comfort and peace. We see them happily in their homes, with their animal friends in good health at their sides. AND, we see the firefighters, who have given so much in their efforts to save all living things as well as the land, going home safely to their homes and families.
Please add your energy to this effort in the comments. For an action-oriented discussion of the current conditions in Woodland Park, CO, see Aji's diary here. Blessed be.
SUNDAY UPDATE: Highway 24 was opened this morning for the limited use of ONLY the residents of Cascade and other evacuated areas, who were being held at Woodland Park mostly because of that road closure. Nurse Kelley is BACK IN HER HOME as I write this, as are, I believe, the majority of folks who were in exile with her. It was not an area where homes were destroyed. Thanks and blessings to all who joined together here to visualize this goal. We ask that you continue to visualize an end to the fire and a safe return home for the firefighters who continue to risk their lives to put out what is still a very serious fire, as well as for all remaining evacuees in other parts of the affected area. Many are left homeless and need strength and courage to face their loss.
We call upon the energy of the water all over our beautiful planet, to restore the balance in Colorado.
