Why does this thought keep running through my head? What if the $$ boys of the GOP decide Romney can't win and deny him the nomination?
Can they? I think there must be some wiggle room for the pledged delegates. I mean, if Edwards hadn't dropped out in '08 would his delegates have HAD to vote for him despite the Rielle scandal?
The funding of the super-pacs adds to my wondering. After all, if these hundreds of millions were going to the Romney campaign, I'd say he couldn't be denied the nomination. But the super-pac money isn't his, and could be used for any candidate.
I think this might happen, and I think the money boys are looking at Jeb Bush.
It's a strange year.
