I put PODCAST in ALL CAPS so that you'd be COMPELLED to click!

In my first show back following the wrath of Twigmaggedon, I was joined by the dependable DemFromCT for his morning polling report and daily dose of chart-y goodness, by Meteor Blades for a discussion of his post on the American Indian GOTV project, and by Armando for our general news wrap, discussion, etc.

We're still working behind the scenes, exploring new and better options for podcasting, audio players, etc. And yes, we're trying to chart out a path to getting you a more permanent and easier-to-find link to the stream to listen in each morning. And as we get more and more used to the operating environment, we inch our way toward that comfort zone where we can integrate your calls and comments into the show. That's where we want to be, and we thank you for indulging us as we make our way there!

Without further ado, then, here's today's show:

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

You can add a private note to this diary when hotlisting it:
Are you sure you want to remove this diary from your hotlist?
Are you sure you want to remove your recommendation? You can only recommend a diary once, so you will not be able to re-recommend it afterwards.
Rescue this diary, and add a note:
Are you sure you want to remove this diary from Rescue?
Choose where to republish this diary. The diary will be added to the queue for that group. Publish it from the queue to make it appear.

You must be a member of a group to use this feature.

Add a quick update to your diary without changing the diary itself:
Are you sure you want to remove this diary?
(The diary will be removed from the site and returned to your drafts for further editing.)
(The diary will be removed.)
Are you sure you want to save these changes to the published diary?

  •  Great job this morning all (0+ / 0-)

Seems most of the trouble is in the technical details.

    For this

How about purchasing a domain name and getting a simple website up. That way should you choose to expand beyond the 2 hour morning block on netroots, you can do that easily. Its how Chronix went from one station to three.

For right now, we've also got an interest in helping Netroots Radio boost listenership for its own existing lineup. We all understand that at some point we'll likely break away, and maybe that happens not so much when we both grow enough to get in each others way, but rather when it becomes necessary in order to make it easier for people to listen.

It's new for all of us, so we'll do our best to take care of problems as they present themselves, hopefully implementing the solutions that the listeners suggest would be best for them.

      •  I'd look at Talk of the Nation (0+ / 0-)

and how they handle their formatting, I see dkos radio being something very similar.

I love what I am seeing so far and look forward to how it evolves.
