"The Magic of Belle Isle" is not likely to make any box office records. It opens in NYC today. I'm writing this diary to thank Rob Reiner for a movie tribute to an actor, who at age 72, still delivers a memorable performance, Morgan Freeman. The story Rob Reiner tells is one of redemption, and hope for all those who are handicapped, either mentally, or physically.
Dish offered a preview, via HDN (commercial free). The movie is longish in today's terms, nearly 3 hours as I recall. I've received many gifts, undeserved, in life, this movie was an inspiration. The only reason it caught my attention was in the title, Belle Isle. I thought the location would be Detroit.
It's a short diary, links provided below.
