Jesus is always praised for his “sacrifice”, but, what really did he give up? He went from this shit-hole earth to “heaven.” Give me that deal any day of the fucking week. “Sacrifice” my ass. And, everyone praises him for it. I “die” for 3 days when I get to spend FOREVER in Eternal Disneyland afterwards? No problemo.
What matters to humans is our “legacy.” Our ego RULES us. Caesar, Genghis Khan, Alexander the Great..... all wanted history to WORSHIP him. So did all the Egyptians who called themselves “god” and assholes like Trump. They NEED to be WORSHIPED. And even the “average” person has a HUGE ego. No one wants to be thought of poorly. In a political and/or religious debate, most people would rather watch their mom, wife and daughters be raped in front of them instead of admitting they were wrong on something.
Jesus' biggest command is to WORSHIP HIM. Basically, in heaven, people sit around with their family and do nothing but tell god how super awesome he is with volleyball in the clouds for periodic breaks.
Judas didn't give a shit what people thought of him.
And without Judas, the fairy tale can NEVER happen. For the Bible's MAIN message to be able to happen, he HAS to have someone “betray” him. No betrayal, no “sacrificing” by Jesus. More than ANYONE in the Bible, Jesus NEEDED Judas to do his part.
And, Judas did it WILLINGLY so that EVERYONE ELSE could be saved.
Think about that.
If Judas didn't say, “I will let 10 billion people HATE me if I turn in Jesus so that my Lord can 'sacrifice' himself to make the point of his entire coming to earth” then the ENTIRE story falls apart.
Most people can't handle if someone else thinks they look fat or old or ugly or dumb.
How many parents have named their kid after Judas? How many praise him for what he did?
The fact Jesus gets all the credit, when he got the free ride, while Judas gets all the scorn, just proves even more he's the one who made the REAL sacrifice so everyone else could be “saved”: his reputation.
Everyone wants to be thought well of after they die.
Judas would rather everyone else be “saved” while they're thinking he's the worst human to ever walk the face of the earth.
How many people do you know that would do that?
The least Jesus could have done was offer to go to hell so NO ONE ELSE would have to. Now THAT would be REAL sacrifice.
