Joe Biden is kicking serious Romney ass today.  I mean serious ass!

The Obama campaign just blasted out advance excerpts of Joe Biden's speech this afternoon to the National Council of La Raza, which features a haymaker of an attack on Romney's taxes and his position on immigration:

“When his father, George Romney, was a candidate was for President in 1968, he released 12 years of tax returns because, as he said, ‘One year could be a fluke, perhaps done for show.’

“His son has released one year of his tax returns.

“Making a lie of the old adage: Like father, like son.

Mitt Romney wants you to show your papers, but he won’t show us his.

“So many questions…”

So many questions.  :-)  So few answers.

More:

“This is a man whose idea of tax reform is to maintain the Bush tax cut for the very wealthy, which costs $1 trillion, 55% of which goes to just 120,000 households in America, households of an average income of $8.4 million.

“And on top of that, an additional $1.6 trillion tax cut to people with incomes in excess of a million dollars, which is a $250,000 per year tax cut for the average millionaire.

“A budget that strikes 200,000 students from Head Start, 19 million poor off of Medicaid, as many as eight million cut from supplemental nutrition assistance.  Child nutrition, school lunch program, child care, early education…

“The impact on the Hispanic community would be devastating—and the effects would last a generation.

“And he says the President is out of touch?”

Give em hell, Joe!!

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

You can add a private note to this diary when hotlisting it:
