For 10 years I ran a investor relations company packaging growth companies and marketing them to Wall Street. Calling on the hedge funds and Wall Street elites showed me the power great wealth, and gave me a unique prospective on how the Unions could effectively control political issues without donating a penny towards elections. I have now watched our electoral process get hijacked by the one percent and I am writing my first diary hoping someone on this board can put me in touch with a right political operative, and teach them how to utilize the Unions wealth to prevent the hijacking of the government, while it is still possible.

The unions need to compile a list of bad actor companies that are public. This company list should include large GOP donors, ALEC members, Chamber of Congress members, and other companies with anti middle class agendas. Find companies that donate to anti union congressmen and other causes that are destroying the fabric of our nation. Once this list is compiled it will be easy to cross reference what mutual fund, hedge fund, or brokerage firm own shares in these companies.

Once this list is established the Union needs to sit down with the Goldman Sachs and other money managers and explain to them they intent to yank every penny out of that firm if they are invested in any of these names. The Unions control trillions of dollars in their pension plans. Imagine giving Goldman Sachs three days to divest in all these companies or write you a check for a trillion dollars. How do you think the President of Target would feel known half the stock of his company will be for sale in three days. He would think twice about his political donations. The Unions control enough money to petrify the entire money elite.

It is time to stop giving money to politicians and start giving orders to Wall Street. I have a lot of ideas on how the power and wealth of the union pension plans could significantly alter the balance of power. I only hope some one in this communities puts me in touch with the right political operative so I can in detail, explain how to do this.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
