Reports have been swirling about Mitt Romney's upcoming three-nation excursion to the U.K., Poland and Israel, with most analysts agreeing it's intended to beef up his foreign policy credentials.
However, Romney's itinerary -- which has been leaked by an anonymous source -- seems to indicate otherwise.
Turns out, Romney's trip will indeed consist of three nations, but not those offered by the campaign, for he apparently will be visiting:
1. Switzerland
2. Cayman Islands
3. Bermuda
Stunningly, it appears that Romney will be taking an international trip to, well, visit his money rather than engage in diplomatic window-dressing before an admittedly strange trio of nations.
Romney's campaign, which has been publicly touting the GOP candidate's upcoming international excursion, has yet to comment on the leaked itinerary, neither debunking its veracity nor admitting to its accuracy.
It's possible that Romney, who appears to have changed the itinerary rather recently, became wistful of those places where he's stored millions of dollars after seeing them in an Obama campaign attack ad (called "Firms" -- seen below).
While this trip, if it indeed happens as planned, will be sure to cause major blowback against a campaign already reeling from being defined by a host of Bain ads.
Whether such a risk will stop Mitt from visiting his money remains to be seen.
